I’m Nic Bisseker, an award winning photographer based in Dormans Park (near East Grinstead) working across Sussex, Surrey and Kent.

Photography drives me; knowing I have got the shot, that second of emotion or action captured behind my lens, then sharing your excitement and happiness with you when you see the finished images.

I strive to create photographs of the highest quality in friendly, fun and relaxed environments and my clients love that my service is second to none. I offer both studio and outdoor sessions so I can tailor the photoshoot to suit exactly what you are looking for.

After graduating with a law degree from Warwick University and then on to Nottingham Trent with the Legal Practice Course ( LPC), I started work as a solicitor in the city. After a few years I realised it wasn’t for me.

I wanted to work with children and do something more practical and creative so I returned to the Institute of Education in 2001 for my PGCE where I re-qualified as a primary school teacher and thoroughly enjoyed this new career until having two little ones of my own.

I had always enjoyed taking photographs and knew I had an eye for it (I won’t tell you how many packs of film I shot during my gap year travels in Australia and New Zealand!) but I was frustrated that I didn’t have the skills to create the images I had in my mind.

I started photographing landscapes, but soon found people and animals were the subjects I most enjoyed and so my journey to become a professional photographer began.

I started my training locally but soon moved on to travel the length and breadth of the country to follow the best teachers in their field.

Nic Bisseker Photography was launched at the end of 2015 and since then it has grown from dog photography to families and children, from just outdoors to now both location and studio photography where I shoot from home studio.

I strive for excellence and have won many awards with the Guild of Photographers and most recently two of my images went through to the final of the Master Photographers Association annual National Print competition. I am particularly proud that one of these went on to win a merit.

When I’m not photographing little people, families and their dogs I spend a lot of time on dog walks with Mabel and Jasper. Mabel is a Ridgeback puppy so training is quite a big part of our lives at the moment!

I cover lots of different areas of photography so please sit back, grab a cup of tea and take a look around my site, or contact me if you would like to talk about your ideas.

“Great photography is about depth of feeling, not depth of field.”
Peter Adams

We can not recommend Nic highly enough. We booked a Christmas mini shoot for our two girls and the youngest was less than co-operative! Nic was so patient and understanding and didn’t give up until she had taken some beautiful pictures of both of our girls. The results are stunning and will be treasured forever. Thank you.”
