Nic’s MONTHLY PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION 2026
APRIL
10 years crafting memories of your pet families
APRIL – Cat Month
You may likely know me as your local award winning dog photographer, having photographed your pets since 2015 back when dog photography was only just getting its debut.
We have had two fantastic years of my photography competition so I have decided to continue it for a third year! It has given families the chance to do something they may never have thought of doing. With the winner taking away a full photoshoot with me, their favourite image as a digital and matching matted fine art print AND a further 10 % off any other further purchases, it really is a truly fabulous opportunity for our local people and their companions and one opportunity really worth spending a few minutes on entering.
But this competition wouldn’t be truly worth unless it was raising something for our wonderful animal rescue charities and this year we are supporting Last Chance Animal Rescue in Edenbridge by asking for you very kindly make a voluntary donation with every entry.
Who is your feline friend?
Whether you’re nominating a pet mum, a hooman mum or one who holds many hats, March with Mother’s Day just around the corner is perfect for this month’s competition.
If you have or know a mum who’s had a tricky time these last few weeks and they really need a little treat or you simply want to say thank you, why not take a couple of minutes to complete my entry form and allow me to create some stunning images for you where your kids or dog is most at home in the great outdoors.
Price details are fully set out below and judging closes on 31 March.

HOW TO ENTER FOR MY CAT MONTH
Complete the form in the link below by 31 March 2026 .
Please be sure in the entry form to give me some background about why you have chosen to nominate this particular mum, why they deserve a chance to win and why you feel a photography session would be a very special idea for them.
This really helps in the decision making process.
The winner and runner up must be happy for the images to be used in my marketing material, on my website etc and this will be checked with them before the final decision is made. If they would prefer not to share then a back up winner will be chosen.
Other family members are not excluded and can be included in some shots.
It is free to enter, all I ask is you make a contribution to my Pet Charity for 2026 Last Chance Animal Rescue based in Edenbridge (link below)
Then keep an eye on my socials @nicbissekerphotography on Facebook and Instagram to watch for the winner announcements at the end of the month! I’ll also email the winner and runner-up direct shortly after closure.
Fantastic experience with Nic. She was so patient with my somewhat errant pups who were having great fun in the woods. The finished photos were amazing – I could have bought them all. She spent ages helping me to decide which ones and how to frame them. Can’t recommend her highly enough.
HAVE A NEW PUPPY OR ONLY A FEW DAYS REMAINING WITH YOUR FURRY FRIEND?
To see some of my previous work
I’d love a full session for my dog family if I don’t win!
These aren’t just photos- they are treasured memories, pieces of love, shared experiences, little sparkles of laughter, and moments with family that will remain with us forever.

Pre-photoshoot
Does my dog need to be well trained for the photoshoot to work?
I have many years of experience photographing dogs and puppies. In an ideal world your dog would be able to sit and stay to your command. This of course helps a lot. However it certainly does not prevent me from still creating some beautiful images even if they do not listen as well as you would like. I am extremely patient and I can photograph dogs on a lead and later remove this in post production ( in most circumstances.) I know the tricks of the trade to get their attention or to capture those moments of stillness. If your dog is particularly active it is advisable to book a full 2 hour session with me so that we can spend more time on action shots. Please call me on 07879 840171 to chat or drop me a line on my email with any worries you may have and I can advise.
Can you help me choose the right photoshoot?
Absolutely! Please call me on 07879 840171 to chat or drop me a line on my email.
How does the booking process work?
Once you have decided that you would like to book a session with me, we first agree a mutually convenient date.
I will then send you a session contract that can be completed electronically and an invoice that can be settled via bank transfer which acts a retainer to secure your session. Once the contract is returned and payment complete your date is secured.
I will send you a link to a Pinterest board in advance of the session so that you have some ideas or what to bring and/or what to wear for you and/or those also taking part in the photoshoot.
How do you take payment? Do you take card payments?
An initial payment is made via bank transfer in advance in order to secure your agreed photoshoot session date.
I can take card transactions in person when you place your order at my studio
What shall I wear?
I encourage owners to be in the photography session with their dog and as with all my sessions clothing choices really make a difference to the finished look of your images. I will send you a Pinterest board with advice regarding clothing specifically for dog outdoor photoshoots.
Generally I advise no logos, bold patterns or stripes. Try to avoid bright coats or wellies – it’s better to blend with your surroundings and allow your dog to be the star of the show!
Do I need to bring anything with me to the photoshoot?
I send plenty of advice in the run up to your photoshoot. This includes old towels, dog biscuits, squeaky toys and a slip lead.
The photoshoot
What if it rains on my photoshoot?
I always book a back up date with you in the case of inclement weather.
I will stay in touch with you in the run up to the photoshoot session and, depending on the forecast, can change the time slightly if it will help with light and weather conditions. If it does end up raining heavily and it doesn’t look as though it will stop we will halt the session and reschedule to complete. This does not happen very often!!
Post-photoshoot
When and where can I see the images from my photoshoot?
Unless otherwise specified, images will be ready for viewing about 2-3 weeks after your shoot. I prefer to invite you to a post-shoot viewing session at my home studio so you get to see your images in a video on a large screen without watermarks. This also gives you the opportunity to view samples of my prints and framed products before placing an order. This is not a hard sell, simply a great chance to choose what will work best for your home and allow me to sort everything for you.
If it is not possible for you to visit me I now do Zoom Viewing Sessions where you can see your slideshow of images and we can discuss options for your home. In advance of the session I will have created some examples of the types of wall art that suit your home via a selection of digital mock-ups.
My prints and frames product guide can also be seen here.
Will I get to see all of the images you took on my photoshoot?
No you won’t see all the raw images. I take many, many images over the session and will choose the best to edit and then present to you at our Viewing Session. This varies depending upon the length of the photoshoot. The one hour Owner and Me Photoshoot will have 5 -10 edited images to view, whereas a full 2 hour shoot will likely have approximately 15-20 edited images.
Further final edits are carried out once you have chosen your favourite images, however you may purchase all the images in your gallery should you so wish.
Can I print the images myself?
I only work with the best professional photographic laboratories in the UK and can therefore ensure perfect colour and excellent quality should you wish to order prints with me.
However if you choose to purchase the rights to the image in for form of the full resolution digital files from your photoshoot, you can print the images yourself. Full details of my pricing for digital images can be found here.
I only work with the best professional photographic laboratories in the UK and can therefore ensure perfect colour and excellent quality should you wish to order prints with me.
Most of my photoshoot sessions come with a complimentary 6 x 8″ mounted print so you can see exactly how the images should look before choosing to order any further prints.
Can you get the images framed for me?
Yes of course!
I want you to have an opportunity to leave with finished artwork ready to hang and start enjoying as soon as possible. I also take away the worry of having to find a supplier that will print your images beautifully or finding a suitable framer.
All my photographic equipment is calibrated to ensure accurate colour representation and I only use professional, UK based print laboratories and wall art manufacturers who have the highest standards in production quality.
My prints and frame product guide can be found here or please contact me for a full price guide.
How many photos will I get from my photoshoot?
You only order what you like after the shoot. There is no obligation to purchase anything after your session should you not wish to. I offer a wide variety of frames and other wall art, along with print boxes so once you have seen your images you can choose how to display them.
