Why Autumn is THE perfect time of year for a family or dog photoshoot 

Well Autumn has begun in earnest even before the first day of Autumn formally struck last week.  Lots of dry weather, a mass of colour and some beautiful light.

A lot of people think they have left it too late in the year to have an outdoor photoshoot when I advise them that I always schedule in a back up date in case of inclemental weather.  I do that even in the summer which can be just as unpredictable!

In fact this is the perfect time of year for family photos and dog photoshoots.  The colours are so rich, creating beautiful backdrops.

There is still some foliage on the trees adding in greens to the oranges, yellows and reds whilst the fallen leaves create a magical carpet.  I deliberately don’t book shoots back to back allowing for flexibility for the weather. There is never a panic – we always find a new suitable date for all.

I offer advice to all my clients on what to wear for their photoshoot and this is done so you all tie in beautifully with the changing scenery and with each other.  Through following this we create a certain harmony with the environment like no other season really can. It’s also perfect because it’s not too cold and if it takes a turn we can wrap everyone up just that bit more.

Shoots are loads of fun in Autumn – log balancing, leaf throwing, acorn hunting, lots of hugs……

After your shoot I professionally edit the best images and create a gallery for you.  I have some wonderful samples of frames, canvases and acrylics and can handle everything right through to the creation of a stunning piece of wall art for your home.  I sell multi aperture frames that hold a number of different images and these are often perfect for these types of sessions.
