Award winning pet photography in sussex, Kent and surreyMemory Photoshoots
All inclusive portrait sessions for poorly pets
Let me help turn their last days into a special time for you both with my end of life photoshoots
If you have arrived here it is likely that you have been faced recently with the unexpected sad news that your pet has only a matter of days or a week or so left with you. Utterly devastational news.
Knowing the days are numbered you are no doubt busy planning for the inevitable. My Last Days Memory sessions aim to give you a chance to stop time to celebrate their lives; to create some beautiful portraits that you can have on your walls to remember your four legged friend who came into your life and changed your home forever.
Your dog or cat passing away is such an emotional time. I work tirelessly to ensure this session is filled with happy last memories before they pass over the Rainbow Bridge.
Last Days mini photo shoots last approximately an hour and can be either an outdoor session or held in my studio. We can also use a garden if appropriate.
As they are booked last minute I will do my best but cannot always guarantee availability.

About me
Hi! I’m Nic and it is lovely to meet you!  I am an Sussex dog photographer based in East Grinstead and I have been photographing dogs across West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey and Kent for the last 7 years. I am well known for my outdoor fine art style dog portraits and exciting dog action photography.
I am a qualified Master Photographer with the Master Photography Association (“MPA”) , my qualification panel of Pet Portraits winning BEST LICENTIATE PANEL IN THE UK (2020) MPA. I have also won many awards for my dog portraiture at national and international level.
My absolute passion is creating beautiful images that capture the essence of your dog’s personality and your relationship as owner with them. My photoshoots are an exciting but poignant experience, and my clients adore their sessions with me.

Pre-photoshoot
Does my dog need to be well trained for the photoshoot to work?
I have many years of experience photographing dogs and puppies. In an ideal world your dog would be able to sit and stay to your command. This of course helps a lot. However it certainly does not prevent me from still creating some beautiful images even if they do not listen as well as you would like. I am extremely patient and I can photograph dogs on a lead and later remove this in post production ( in most circumstances.) I know the tricks of the trade to get their attention or to capture those moments of stillness. If your dog is particularly active it is advisable to book a full 2 hour session with me so that we can spend more time on action shots. Please call me on 07879 840171 to chat or drop me a line on my email with any worries you may have and I can advise.Â
Can you help me choose the right photoshoot?
Absolutely! Please call me on 07879 840171 to chat or drop me a line on my email.
How does the booking process work?
Once you have decided that you would like to book a session with me, we first agree a mutually convenient date.
I will then send you a session contract that can be completed electronically and an invoice that can be settled via bank transfer which acts a retainer to secure your session. Once the contract is returned and payment complete your date is secured.
I will send you a link to a Pinterest board in advance of the session so that you have some ideas or what to bring and/or what to wear for you and/or those also taking part in the photoshoot.
How do you take payment? Do you take card payments?
An initial payment is made via bank transfer in advance in order to secure your agreed photoshoot session date.
I can take card transactions in person when you place your order at my studio
What shall I wear?
I encourage owners to be in the photography session with their dog and as with all my sessions clothing choices really make a difference to the finished look of your images. I will send you a Pinterest board with advice regarding clothing specifically for dog outdoor photoshoots.
Generally I advise no logos, bold patterns or stripes. Try to avoid bright coats or wellies – it’s better to blend with your surroundings and allow your dog to be the star of the show!
Do I need to bring anything with me to the photoshoot?
I send plenty of advice in the run up to your photoshoot. This includes old towels, dog biscuits, squeaky toys and a slip lead.
The photoshoot
What if it rains on my photoshoot?
I always book a back up date with you in the case of inclement weather.
I will stay in touch with you in the run up to the photoshoot session and, depending on the forecast, can change the time slightly if it will help with light and weather conditions. If it does end up raining heavily and it doesn’t look as though it will stop we will halt the session and reschedule to complete. This does not happen very often!!
Post-photoshoot
When and where can I see the images from my photoshoot?
Unless otherwise specified, images will be ready for viewing about 2-3 weeks after your shoot. I prefer to invite you to a post-shoot viewing session at my home studio so you get to see your images in a video on a large screen without watermarks.  This also gives you the opportunity to view samples of my prints and framed products before placing an order. This is not a hard sell, simply a great chance to choose what will work best for your home and allow me to sort everything for you.
If it is not possible for you to visit me I now do Zoom Viewing Sessions where you can see your slideshow of images and we can discuss options for your home. In advance of the session I will have created some examples of the types of wall art that suit your home via a selection of digital mock-ups.
My prints and frames product guide can also be seen here.
Will I get to see all of the images you took on my photoshoot?
No you won’t see all the raw images. I take many, many images over the session and will choose the best to edit and then present to you at our Viewing Session. This varies depending upon the length of the photoshoot. The one hour Owner and Me Photoshoot will have 5 -10 edited images to view, whereas a full 2 hour shoot will likely have approximately 15-20 edited images.
Further final edits are carried out once you have chosen your favourite images, however you may purchase all the images in your gallery should you so wish.
Can I print the images myself?
I only work with the best professional photographic laboratories in the UK and can therefore ensure perfect colour and excellent quality should you wish to order prints with me.
However if you choose to purchase the rights to the image in for form of the full resolution digital files from your photoshoot, you can print the images yourself. Full details of my pricing for digital images can be found here.
I only work with the best professional photographic laboratories in the UK and can therefore ensure perfect colour and excellent quality should you wish to order prints with me.
Most of my photoshoot sessions come with a complimentary 6 x 8″ mounted print so you can see exactly how the images should look before choosing to order any further prints.
Can you get the images framed for me?
Yes of course!
I want you to have an opportunity to leave with finished artwork ready to hang and start enjoying as soon as possible. I also take away the worry of having to find a supplier that will print your images beautifully or finding a suitable framer.
All my photographic equipment is calibrated to ensure accurate colour representation and I only use professional, UK based print laboratories and wall art manufacturers who have the highest standards in production quality.
My prints and frame product guide can be found here or please contact me for a full price guide.
How many photos will I get from my photoshoot?
You only order what you like after the shoot. There is no obligation to purchase anything after your session should you not wish to. I offer a wide variety of frames and other wall art, along with print boxes so once you have seen your images you can choose how to display them.
